Snapchat is looking to expand its services beyond self destructive messages and launch a content section with a new app called Discover. The new app will will provide articles, music and videos, reports Digiday.

The new section is expected to include content from CNN, Mail Online, ESPN, Comedy Central, Vevo, National Geographic, Vice and magazines like Cosmopolitan and People. Sources familiar with the matter told Digiday that the app maker is planning to generate revenue through ads that will appear in the content.

The Wall Street Journal previously reported that Snapchat was working on a content section, but Digiday has said to have been given a preview of the mock Discover feature, which might be the final stages before the launch.

Snapchat, however, has not confirmed the reports.
