Connectria, a provider of cloud computing, managed hosting and complex hosting offerings, has introduced 24/7 Remote Monitoring services for the IBM System i platform.
The IBM System i, or Power Systems, is a mainstay midrange server for over 20 years, with an estimated 200,000+ customers worldwide.
Connectria has been providing System i Managed Hosting and Remote Management services for customers for nearly 10 years, with experience on IBM Power Systems, System i, iSeries, and AS/400 platforms running IBM i, i5/OS, and OS/400.
Remote Management services allow Connectria’s engineers to manage customer located System i servers from their 24/7 monitoring centres in the US.
With IBM System i Remote Monitoring, Connectria’s staff complements customers’ in-house staff by remotely monitoring for errors and alerts 24/7, said the company.
When required, Connectria’s staff can take corrective action and escalate issues to its customers’ staff members. This allows Connectria’s customers to support their IBM System i servers 24/7 without having to staff a monitoring centre 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
Connectria president and CEO Rich Waidmann said they believe their System i Remote Monitoring Services are low risk, low cost services that yield big rewards for their customers.
"Many companies rely on their IBM System i servers as a critical computing platform that runs their business; Connectria’s 24/7 staff can remotely monitor or manage their System i servers to ensure problems get resolved before our customers come back to work the next day," Waidmann said.
