Concirrus and Thermocable team up to detect overheat

The solution should enable users to detect overheat, water leaks and freezing pipes in real-time.

By Amy-Jo Crowley

Thermocable has teamed up with Concirrus, a turnkey solutions provider, to launch solutions for the security and facilities markets.

Thermocable has integrated its patented linear detection cable hardware with Concirrus’s cloud platform and M2M devices.

The company said the solution would enable users to detect overheat, water leaks and freezing pipes in real-time.

Andrew Rayner, managing director at Thermocable, said: "The launch of our range of connected products we believe will transform our business."

Andrew Yeoman, CEO at Concirrus, added: "The Internet of Things is essentially about providing more and better information such that decisions can be better or quicker. In the insurance market water damage from leaks and floods are a huge problem – this solution now allows businesses to detect these events in real-time and take action to minimize losses.

Concirrus helps companies to design, build and operate solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT).
