CompanionLink Software, a provider of mobile synchronisation offerings, has introduced the new version of its PC synchronisation software, which provides two-way synchronisation of contacts, calendar, tasks and notes with PC software such as Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Business Contact Manager, IBM Lotus Notes, Novell GroupWise, Palm Desktop, and ACT! by Sage.
The company said that its CompanionLink 4.0 supports all major smartphone and tablet platforms including Android, Apple iOS4, BlackBerry, Palm webOS, and Windows Mobile.
In addition, the version 4.0 also synchronises with any Google, Gmail, or Google Apps account for integration with mobile devices using the Google Sync service, the company said.
The new PC synchronisation software offers multiple sync methods for each platform, and majority of supported smartphones can be synchronised direct over USB, local Wi-Fi, over-the-air through Google, or wirelessly using the Wireless Sync Service.
The Version 4.0 features: new user interface and visual setup process; faster sync engine; advanced de-duplication algorithm; new licensing system that makes changing computers easy; and support for Outlook 2010 32-bit and 64-bit editions, CompanionLink said.
