Commtouch has unveiled Connector for Microsoft Exchange Server that allows operators of hosted and managed Microsoft Exchange environments to reduce costs and differentiate their email offerings.
The company claims that the new connector will enable operators of Microsoft Exchange environments to benefit from spam, phishing and malware outbreak protection technology.
According to Commtouch, the product embodies anti-spam recurring pattern detection technology that catches 98% of spam. In addition, its zero-hour virus outbreak protection shields infrastructure from new malware variants. Both of these technologies are made available as a connector to hosted and managed Microsoft Exchange providers’ environment.
In addition, the new offering allows these providers to deploy GlobalView Mail Reputation for blocking of up to 90% of unwanted mail, the company said.
Commtouch’s support of the service provider industry now encompasses a range of technologies including Integration with Parallels Plesk, H-Sphere and cPanel; plug-ins for open source email filtering packages such as SpamAssassin; a connector for Microsoft Exchange; and a Milter for Sendmail and Postfix technologies.
