Cloudium Systems, an Irish company that develops products and offerings for virtual desktops and cloud computing, has partnered with Microsoft to use the latter’s RemoteFX technology for its cloud based products.
Cloudium Systems has received a license to use the RemoteFX technology and is launching its VCA2000 product family of virtual desktops with this new technology.
Cloudium Systems CEO John Hickey said that the world of computing is on a cusp of a paradigm shift with a move from the personal computer to a ‘pervasive’ or ‘virtual’ desktop that can be accessed anywhere and anytime – a concept described in the increasingly used term "cloud computing.
"Our vision is to provide customers with ‘pervasive desktops’ that can be accessed anywhere and anytime. Hardware based, high performance, full fidelity, zero clients offerings – which are enabled by our VCA2000 product family – are step in this direction," John Hickey.
Cloudium Systems is a provider of innovative, high-performance offerings for media applications – spanning desktop virtualisation to IPTV – for the continuing development of cloud computing and the use of the virtual desktop.
