Cisco has announced it will acquire Austrian cloud-delivered services management provider SolveDirect, for an undisclosed sum.

The company will acquire all the shares of SolveDirect to expand its range of smart and connected IT services for its customers, partners and resellers. SolveDirect’s cloud-based offering gives enterprises and service providers a flexible way to integrate with service partners, and automate the sharing of processes, data, and workflows in real-time by eliminating manual practices and bottlenecks, according to the firm.

Following the acquisition the SolveDirect team will join Cisco’s Services team and work under the leadership of Cisco Services Platforms Group senior vice president Mala Anand.

The acquisition is subject to regulatory conditions and expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2013.
