Check Point Q3 revenues up 17% to $273.2m

28% increase in operating income

Check Point Software Technologies has reported total revenues of $273.2m for the third quarter of 2010, an increase of 17% compared to $233.6m for the same quarter in 2009.

The company’s operating income was $135.06m for the quarter as compared to $105.4m for the same period last year.

Check Point has posted income before income taxes of $142.3m compared to $113.3m for the same quarter prior year.

For the quarter ended 30 September 2010, the company has posted net income of $114.5m, or $0.54 per share, as compared to $91.4m, or $0.43 per share of Q3 of 20009.

Check Point chairman and CEO Gil Shwed said the growth in the quarter was a result of strong network security product sales across all regions with particular strength coming from the America’s and Asia Pacific.
