Unified end-user computing services provider Centrix Software has launched new updates to its end-user computing analytics offerings.

The updates are designe to make it easier for desktop transformation teams to prepare their end-user computing environments for change, and drive successful migration and adoption of new desktop platforms such as Windows 7 and desktop virtualisation, said the company.

The new release of Centrix WorkSpace iQ now includes template reports that define and analyse the application needs of individual users. It creates sets of user-centric templates that can be used to support the design and implementation of new desktop roll-outs, said the company.

Centrix Software has also release its new Centrix WorkSpace Discovery, its free-of-charge offering for endpoint analysis.

In addition to providing a full inventory and analysis of hardware and software assets installed within an end-user computing environment, WorkSpace Discovery can identify the value of software licenses and where potential savings can be made through software asset rationalisation, said the company.

The company said the new release of both products also feature deeper analytics capabilities.

Centrix Software sales and marketing vice-president Lewis Gee said end-user computing analytics solutions help desktop transformation teams minimise the risks associated with change by providing data that is user-centric and based upon real-time resource and asset consumption.

Gee said, "Centrix WorkSpace iQ and Discovery are invaluable planning solutions for any desktop decision-maker."
