Capgemini launches global MDM offering at Gartner Summit in London

Capgemini has launched new global Master Data Management (MDM) offering at the Gartner Master Data Management Summit 2011 in London.

The MDM offering, the company claims, enhances its global Business Information Management (BIM) business by delivering a full MDM offering that incorporates services including MDM advisory, implementation and outsourcing.

The new offering enables its users to manage increasing data volumes, produce accurate data and join up businesses’ and customers’ social information, said the company.

It added, the offering also allows enterprises to take control of its critical master data by providing a common approach to its governance, operation, integration and reference that streamlines data sharing among personnel, departments and partners.

Capgemini said that MDM facilitates computing across multiple system architectures, platforms, and applications across all areas of the value chain.

Capgemini BIM service line global leader Paul Nannetti said key to successful MDM is understanding the business value of data management in its own right and for them, it is essential to analyse it as part of the business overall, rather than viewing it simply as a data integration problem.
