The SiteMinder and SOA Security Manager are part of the company’s secure web business enablement portfolio and are standards-supporting products that help reduce IT security risks associated with deploying web-based applications and web services.

According to CA, the SiteMinder enables web access management system providing web single sign-on, authentication management, policy-based authorisation, identity federation and audit services. SOA Security Manager uses centralised security policies linked to user identities to provide XML threat prevention, authentication, authorisation, federation, session management and security auditing services capabilities.

Stephen Hess, senior director of product management, middleware at Red Hat, said: “Open source middleware adoption is growing and more organisations are deploying their mission-critical applications on JBoss Enterprise Middleware.

“The need for enterprise-class security for web applications and web services grows in parallel with the rise in deployments, which is why we are pleased that CA is extending its security platforms for web access management through CA SiteMinder and CA SOA Security Manager.”
