CA Technologies (CA) has unveiled plans to integrate its IT Process Automation Manager with the VMware vCloud API to enable process automation and orchestration for providing and consuming virtual resources in the cloud.
CA said that the integration is under development using the vCloud API in BlueLock’s VMware-based public cloud, and will empower customers to deploy and manage virtualised workloads in VMware vCloud-based private, public and hybrid clouds.
The integration will facilitate the creation and control of VMware vApps along with their instantiation, deployment and operation.
In addition, CA Workload Automation customers will be able to automatically initiate, monitor, and manage workloads in VMware vCloud API-enabled private, public or hybrid clouds.
CA Technologies general manager of virtualisation and automation Roger Pilc said as customers go beyond experimentation with public clouds, their integration work will deliver a solid foundation to automate and manage workloads between private and public VMware vCloud API-enabled architectures.
The company said that its IT Process Automation Manager and Workload Automation can help customers to lower risks and contain costs by using process automation to move workloads across private and public clouds, the company said.
