CA Technologies and Unisys have extended their partnership to provide joint offerings that accelerate customers’ path from virtualisation to the cloud.

The new offerings will combine CA Technologies virtualisation management, service automation, and service management products with Unisys’ virtualisation and cloud advisory, planning, design and implementation services.

CA Technologies and Unisys also plan to expand an array of offerings they provide to help customers create private, hybrid and public clouds.

Further, the companies will also provide unified management of physical and virtual environments, along with automation that spans IT domains and critical IT service management processes.

The first offering is designed to help organisations overcome ‘virtual stall’, the complications that can arise from enterprise virtualisation projects, CA Technologies said.

Unisys chief technology officer Fred Dillman said both the companies bring decades of experience and applied innovation in the data centre and IT services management.

"By combining our complementary strengths, we can help our clients address some very real challenges they are facing in their virtualisation and cloud projects and more quickly realise the benefits," Dillman said.
