CA Technologies integrates solution with Docker

Integration of solution will enable customers to orchestrate and automate.

By James Nunns

CA Technologies has integrated its Release Automation solution with the Docker platform.

The move will enable companies to achieve continuous delivery using Docker containers and images.

Docker, an open platform for developers and system administrators, allows them to build, ship and run distributed applications.

The process of containerising enables applications to be assembled from components and can eliminate the friction between development, QA and production environments. The solution automates and standardises the deployment of applications across their software development lifecycle.

David Cramer, VP, Application Delivery Product Management, CA Technologies, said: "We live in an application economy, and are all faced with the challenges of delivering new applications and changes to existing applications faster than ever before."

"Containers have been around for a while, but have become increasingly popular because of the DevOps movement. This integration enables customers to orchestrate and automate the entire SDLC and leverage Docker-based build, test and deployment workflows."
