With this new product, operators are expected to offer their users downloads and uploads that are faster than those of un-optimized web applications, while scaling their networks as data usage continues to escalate.
The release of Bytemobile’s Optimization Client is also claimed to remove inherent barriers to a widespread roll-out of client applications. The product is designed for bundled sales with USB dongles.

Earlier in September 2008, Bytemobile announced the availability of its WebGate service, which provides a single service control point within the network for all wireless data traffic. This enables operators to deliver data services and applications to customers while controlling data flow through intelligent service selection.
WebGate Service is the mobile internet gateway product capable of managing all traffic types. Positioned in the data path of the network, the product analyzes and processes traffic at the application level. WebGate Service is available with Bytemobile’s unison mobile Internet platform. Bytemobile is a provider of mobile internet services which enable wireless network operators to deliver data services to consumers on mass-market cellular phones, feature phones, smartphones, and laptops.
