BT has launched Virtual iPBX in the Netherlands, its new cloud-based offering that enables resellers to offer IP voice services to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).
BT said that the cloud-based offering requires little upfront investment and helps smaller organisations to reduce their cost-base.
The Virtual iPBX supports regular voice services (IP-, SIP- and PSTN-based), voicemail, PC, fax, and computer telephony integration via soft phone.
In addition, the cloud-based offering also offers dual ringing, Outlook integration with presence information, fixed-to-mobile integration, virtual conference rooms and interactive voice response.
GTM (Global Telecom Markets) Benelux general manager Carla Somhorst said the new hosted PBX offering is a cost efficient, future proof and the pay-as-you-go model which lowers investment barriers for SME customers of its resellers.
