BT has introduced an advanced security platform, BT Assure Cyber, to protect private sector and government organisations against cyber threats.
Assure Cyber is a combination of BT’s own tools and those provided by its security partners.
The British telecom giant said that the new security platform uses advanced analytics engines capable of detecting threats within a monitored environment.
After monitoring the threat, it places them into context within an array of events presented to security professionals and cyber defence analysts.
The new platform is said to be capable of investigating and responding to vulnerabilities and incidents at a much faster pace than the traditional ones.
BT said that it has used ‘super correlation’ engine at the core of the Assure Cyber architecture that uses advanced mathematics to single out irregularity within human and machine orientated traffic.
The platform is also capable of determining the severity of particular attack on an organisation, as it considers multiple layers of defence between an attacker and the vulnerable asset subject to attack.
