BT has signed an agreement with EE to offer mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) services to the customers and employees of the British telecommunications provider.
As per the agreement, BT will rent space on EE’s masts and offer 4G smartphone connections package together with broadband, landline calls and pay TV services from next year.
The latest deal comes after the London-based firm sought bids for a new mobile partner during early 2013 in the wake of winning spectrum for delivering 4G mobile-phone signals in the UK.
BT spokesman said in a statement that the partnership with EE as will offer the firm a lots of options both in the business and consumer markets.
"BT already operates the UK’s largest wi-fi network with more than five million hotspots and we are keen to build on that platform," he said.
"Broadband speeds are improving all the time with fibre and 4G and we want our customers to enjoy the fastest speeds possible, whether they are in the home, office or out and about."
Further, BT would cautiously switch from the existing MVNO to EE in a bid to make offer a seamless transition for customers.

Earlier, BT collaborated with Vodafone for consumer and enterprise service and handsets, which was worth $16m annually.
