Brainware, a provider of data capture and enterprise search services, has announced that a healthcare IT company has adopted its product package as an enterprise document processing platform.

In a deal worth more than $600,000, this new client is expected to deploy Brainware Distiller to automate contracts indexing, and Globalbrain enterprise search to facilitate contracts e-discovery.

Globalbrain and Brainware Distiller form an integrated enterprise document processing platform. Globalbrain uses associative memory technology, a proprietary search technology. It reportedly allows the user to enter phrases, paragraphs, or even whole documents of texts as search queries, independent of language.

In this deployment, Brainware Distiller will be providing automated contractual data extraction from the company’s contract repository system to populate a Microsoft SharePoint front-end.

Carl Mergele, CEO of Brainware, said: Brainware has seen accelerated adoption of our technology by some of the players in the healthcare and life sciences industries. These organizations cannot support the costs of large-scale manual data entry nor afford to spend endless hours searching for vital documents to mitigate legal risks and compliance issues. Brainware provides a compelling answer with our document-agnostic, template-free solutions that make it possible to process millions of pages with unmatched accuracy and limited human intervention.
