Braintree launches new plugin for Magento

Magento can now store customers’ sensitive credit card information in the Braintree Vault

By CBR Staff Writer

Electronic payment service provider Braintree has launched a new plugin for Magento eCommerce Solutions to enable Magento merchants to access Braintree’s payment application

The plugin will allow Magento Enterprise and Magento Community users to quickly process credit card payments through the Braintree payment gateway.

The new release also enables Magento to store customers’ sensitive credit card information in the Braintree Vault.

Braintree CEO Bill Ready said by keeping all credit card data secure in its Vault, the company makes PCI compliance much simpler for merchants to achieve.

"The Braintree Vault also allows merchants to implement a card-on-file feature which helps merchants increase their conversion rate at checkout," said Ready.

Braintree claims offers credit card vault storage which enables merchants to reduce their PCI compliance burden by over 90%.
