Surveillance is a real-time monitoring tool that oversees the entire database environment with drill-down capability for problem identification. With Surveillance, a database administrator is expected to view real-time performance data without writing scripts, determine the root cause of performance problems, and insure the well being of the user’s database environment. Difficult problems can be resolved in a fraction of the time required without such a product.
