bet365 selects GemStone Systems’s data management system

To ensure that no transactions would be lost even if an unforeseen event occurs

By CBR Staff Writer

bet365, an online gambling group, has selected GemStone Systems’s data management system, GemFire, as part of an IT infrastructure expansion to support growth.

According to GemStone Systems, using GemFire, bet365 will now realize benefits that include processing of the thousands of transactions conducted via its online portal, with the assurance that these transactions will be processed reliably and without failure in the case of a disaster or unforeseen events.

GemStone Systems said that GemFire provided the resiliency to ensure that in the case of an unforeseen event or disaster impacting bet365’s data infrastructure, no transactions would be lost and the company’s valued customers would receive quality online gambling experience.

Martin Davies, chief technology officer of bet365, said: Working with the GemFire engineers, GemStone proved that its technology had the scale, flexibility and reliability to make our systems our strength. They were responsive to our demands at every step of the selection and testing process, and I am confident that GemFire will enable us to scale our data infrastructure to meet the growing demands of our business. I look forward to working with them as we roll out the platform and continue to provide our customers with the online gambling experience they demand.
