BenQ, a provider of commercial display and digital signage solutions, has launched new colour management monitors designed to improve user experience and efficiency for imaging professionals.
The Pro Graphics Series uses Palette Master software as well as CMYK and Adobe RGB colour spaces to help professionals in art, design, photography and print-making improve colour proofing efficiency.
The monitors, which were co-developed by colour science company X-Rite, should also improve design efficiency and lower the cost of ownership,
Steve Miller, market manager of imaging and print at X-Rite, said: "Utilising i1 core technology with additional functionality for power users, such as validation reporting for G7 and PSO, the PG2401PT delivers a very powerful solution that tackles the industry’s challenges of colour calibration, reproduction accuracy and consistency."
Peter Chen, general manager of BenQ’s technology product centre, said: "Colour accuracy is the key to reliable soft proofing. Recognizing the crucial importance of managing the proofing process effectively and efficiently, our R&D team have worked hard to identify and tackle aspects of coloration that are the most challenging and meet the most rigorous standardized production printing requirements set by world-leading professional organizations in the process."
BenQ launched its vertical Alignment (VA) LED monitors, the EW and VW series in July 2010.
