Axway has released SecureTransport, a new version of multi-protocol, directory-based internet file transfer product that secures data transfer across multiple file sites and applications.

Axway said that SecureTransport now integrates with Synchrony Sentinel to provide visibility inside and outside the enterprise. In addition, combining SecureTransport with Sentinel offers extended visibility services for auditing and reporting on file transfer activity at a business and technical level, internally and across trading communities.

The company said that the new version provides proactive notifications and real-time dashboards through event processing capabilities to correlate and correct process problems before they become a business threat.

According to Axway, the SecureTransport interfaces with Sterling Commerce’s Connect:Direct product. It allows Connect:Direct customers to use the company’s SecureTransport to send, receive and manage file transfers with trading partners that do not use the proprietary Connect:Direct protocol.

It also includes Rich Internet Client that allows users to transfer files from their computers or networks to a SecureTransport server, enabling secure, ad hoc, managed file transfer. In addition, users can now specify the email address of the recipient and SecureTransport provides the recipient with an email notification, which includes a link for exchanging files with the SecureTransport server.
