Axis Technology Software, a provider of enterprise data masking offerings, has introduced DMsuite Cloud Edition, the Software as a Service (SaaS) version of the data masking platform.
The new offering is a cloud-based data masking offering, which empowers companies of all sizes to benefit from the critical data protection.
DMsuite Cloud Edition is available in two forms: Managed Services and Self Service.
Under Managed Services, a company can plug its database into the DMsuite platform and have Axis Technology’s team to mask its sensitive information.
In addition, with managed services option, there is no need for additional hardware purchases or any other investments.
Under Self Service, companies who have their own dedicated IT resources, this option enables a business to purchase a license and secure its data with the guidance of Axis Technology’s team.
The company said that the DMsuite secures development, quality assurance, and third-party testing environments by removing confidential data and replacing it with realistic, fictitious data.
Because the masking transformation is executed in memory, production data is not accessible within DMsuite or anywhere in the target environment.
Further, the offering maintains referential integrity across business lines and different platforms, offering protection for Oracle, SQL Server, Adabas, Teradata, Informix, MySQL, Sybase, and DB2 environments.
Axis Technology Software president Mike Logan said DMsuite has a track record of safe-guarding large enterprises well beyond what regulations and laws call for.
"Given the staunch privacy laws that are in place, and the increasing threats that face companies today, we felt our data masking protection should be attainable by businesses of all scopes and sizes," Logan said.
