Autonomy, a provider of infrastructure software, has introduced new consolidated archiving and email management offerings, which cover the requirements of enterprises in email management, eDiscovery or information governance.
Powered by meaning-based technology, the new offerings are delivered on-site, in the cloud or on an appliance, covering various types of data and applications. It enables enterprises to establish user access policy, including secured self service, if required, the company said.
Autonomy said that the email archiving and management offerings automatically ingest, de-duplicate, index and extract metadata from all data types, including audio, video, web sites and SharePoint files. Its IDOL automatically understands how to manage each piece of content, eliminating the burden of acquiring, implementing and managing local compliance grade storage, including the time and cost associated with backups, administration, software upgrades and technical support.
According to Autonomy, the new offerings consist of Arcpliance, an on-premise digital archiving appliance; Digital Safe, a cloud-based archiving offering that manages cloud-based archive at over 13 petabytes; DSmail, an email archiving offering with end user web access and basic governance and legal hold functions; Dsplus, which offers meaning-based functions for monitoring, proactive policy management, ingestion of additional types of content, and advanced tools for compliance; and a consolidated archiving and governance platform DSprofessional.
In addition, the new offering also include Enterprise Archiving Solution (EAS), an on-premise offering that captures and preserves electronically stored information (ESI) for litigation readiness, information governance, and storage optimisation; and WorkSite’s Email Management that offers suggestive filing capability, allowing computers to anticipate where users would want to file the emails and recommend the appropriate location, the company said.
