Authasas releases 64-bit version of Advanced Authentication middleware

Offers authentication, authorisation and comprehensive auditing capabilities

Authasas, a developer of authentication middleware, has released a new version of Authasas Advanced Authentication middleware, which is available for all 64 bit versions of Windows (Windows 2003 64-bit, Windows 2008 64-bit, Windows 2008 R2, Windows XP 64-bit, Windows Vista 64-bit and Windows 7 64-bit).

The 64 bit architecture is also available for Citrix Xenapp. The new release, which will be available on March 1, 2010,  will allow existing customers to automatically be upgraded through the regular maintenance and support program.

Authasas is fully adapted to a client/server environment and allows stand-alone installations. It supports various non-biometric authentication and biometric technologies and devices.

According to the company, the new version is an extended authentication middleware that integrates with Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7, Server 2003 and Server 2008 and an extensive list of authentication methods and devices are supported. It provides authentication, authorisation and comprehensive auditing capabilities.

Rik Peters, vice president of product development at Authasas, said: Because we see 64-bit Operating Systems becoming more of a standard and as part of our ongoing commitment to the cross-platform compatibility of Authasas. We provide native support for 64-bit platforms in the upcoming release of Authasas Advanced Authentication.
