DealerTrack Systems, a subsidiary of DealerTrack Holdings, a US-based provider of on-demand software and data solutions for the automotive retail industry, has announced that Audi of America plans to integrate its dealer communications platform with the DealerTrack Arkona DMS.
According to DealerTrack, following the planned integration, Audi dealers using the DealerTrack DMS will be able to access Audi’s AIM inventory management system on the same desktop as their dealer management system (DMS) applications and the systems will be fully integrated in real time.
The DMS also will be integrated with Audi’s financial accounting system. Information will transfer seamlessly from one system to another without having to be re-keyed, eliminating potential data errors.
The transactions and communications supported will include repair orders, parts orders and acknowledgements, parts returns, preparation and submission of financial statements and complete vehicle service histories.
Raj Sundaram, senior vice president of dealer solutions at DealerTrack, said: We are pleased to partner with Audi to provide full integration with its dealer communications system which should enhance the appeal of the DealerTrack DMS to more than 270 Audi dealerships across the U.S.
The Audi emblem with its four rings signifies one of Germany’s oldest automobile manufacturers. It symbolises the amalgamation in 1932 of four formerly independent motor-vehicle manufacturers: Audi, DKW, Horch and Wanderer. These companies formed the roots of what is today Audi AG.
