AT&T launches security services in India

To protect against cyber attacks and business interruptions

AT&T is offering its Managed Security Services to multinational corporations in India. These managed services enable customers assess vulnerabilities, protect infrastructure, detect attacks and respond to unexpected activities and events.

AT&T said that with its Managed Security Services, customers will have access to a suite of security services that provide integrated business continuity and security services to support their networking environments.

In addition, AT&T said that it is providing businesses with design, deploy, manage and evolve networks, systems and applications that contain security features designed to protect against cyber attacks and business interruptions.

According to AT&T, the managed security services offering provides: premises-based firewall service that provides firewall protection at the perimeter of the customer’s premises; network-based security service that protects customers’ WANs by providing secure inbound and outbound internet access directly into the customer’s WAN; security analysis and notification service; alerting and notification tool; and security knowledge mining, analysis and notification service.

Gopi Gopinath, chairman and chief executive officer of AT&T Global Network Services India, said: “Our portfolio of managed security offerings is important in fulfilling our goal of providing multinational customers in India with sophisticated tools to protect their vital network infrastructure. This enables businesses to take full advantage of the Internet as a means of enhancing their existing business relationships with customers and suppliers.”
