Atec, a GSS Infotech company, has partnered with Silicon Valley based firm Pano Logic, a provider of Zero Client Desktop Computing.
The partnership is to expand their virtualisation portfolio by including ‘all hardware, no software desktop’ device, designed for server-based desktop virtualisation.
Atec said that it has deployed thin client technology to its customers and the recent trend in virtual desktops is the ‘zero client’, which does not need a full operating system or the resources associated with traditionally deployed end user computing.
Atec operations vice president Sandy Cohn said today’s workforce no longer resides within four walls and also have workers in industries such as healthcare, manufacturing or education that are not confined to one device.
"The ability to centralise their desktops increases end user productivity while completely eliminating endpoint device management, freeing IT staff to concentrate on their core competencies," Cohn said.
Pano Logic executive vice president of worldwide operations Bryan Cox said their resellers are a cornerstone of their strategy of providing customers with the best experience possible in the selection, deployment and operation of their VDI offering and Atec will play an important role in their network.
