Consumer notebook vendor and maker, ASUS, has introduced its new Padfone 2 to be launched in Carphone Warehouse stores across the UK this week.
Padfone 2, a combined smartphone and tablet device, frees users from having separate SIMs and tariffs to access data services on their phone and tablet.
ASUS account director Anand Unadkat said: "Smartphones and tablets are the two of fastest growing technology sectors, and the Padfone 2 brings both devices together under one tariff plan."
Features include a 4.7 android smartphone and 10.1 tablet docking station.
"We are now ready to expand our UK portfolio with smartphones. Innovation and design will always be at the core of ASUS, and the Padfone 2 underlines our position as the world’s leader in bringing innovative converged devices to market," added Unadkat.
