Aster Data, a provider of data management and processing platform, and Terremark Worldwide, a provider of managed IT infrastructure services, have formed a strategic initiative to help customers deploy and scale Aster Data’s massively parallel data warehouse and advanced analytics offering for big data sets through a combination of their offerings.
The new initiative combines Aster Data’s enhanced offering for data management and analytics processing with Terremark’s enterprise cloud infrastructure services and expertise to meet the market demand for analysis on terabytes and petabytes of data.
The companies said that the new offering provides online precision scaling making it easy to scale in cloud environments as data volumes grow and highly advanced analytics for large data sets while providing the performance and availability.
Terremark’s enterprise cloud and IT infrastructure services provide customers with the performance and security to deploy analytics and other big data applications, while Aster Data allows analytic applications to be embedded inside the system.
