Astea International has launched Alliance 9.0, a new version of its service lifecycle management (SLM) application.
Built on the Microsoft .NET 3.5 platform, Alliance 9.0 is an open and non-proprietary application. The company said that organisations will benefit from the professional services automation, business intelligence, service work order process improvements, logistics, workforce scheduling optimisation, scheduling and dispatch console enhancements, as well as other new features added to the company’s mobility offering.
John Tobin, president of Astea, said: This is a pivotal release for not only Astea but for the industry itself, and one which will have a dramatic impact on the way organisations deliver service as more and more companies in these challenging economic times view and leverage service as a competitive differentiator and revenue generator.”
Astea said that its offerings are orchestrated to share and leverage information throughout the service lifecycle – removing the traditional barriers between the field and back office. With Astea Alliance’s modularity, companies can introduce one module at a time or deploy an information backbone across the entire service lifecycle continuum, thereby eliminating the patchwork of disparate systems.
