Art Technology Group (ATG) has launched Commerce Suite including Commerce 9.1 and Optimisation Services, delivering an approach to cross-channel selling that transcends the e-commerce model. The new commerce platform also introduces a new module called Multisite Internationalisation, which streamlines operations for organisations that manage multiple sites for different countries and brands.

The company claims that the new commerce suite combines a commerce platform, business user applications, and on demand optimisation services, and provides customers with a one-stop offering for the web storefronts, while improving operational efficiency, attracting more visitors, increasing conversion rates and average order sizes, and driving customer loyalty.

In addition, the new release also includes enhanced support for mobile devices and social media, including web services for delivering commerce capabilities to smartphones such as the iPhone and social sites, including Facebook.

The ATG commerce suite has ability to integrate web, call centers and in-stores capabilities. It has configurability to implement contact center and instore applications, via enhancements to ATG Commerce Service Center.

The company added that the new suite also includes new REST-style (Representational State Transfer) web services to support SOA (Service Oriented Architectures) and simplifies the delivery of commerce capabilities to any enterprise application or website.

The new commerce suite features new Multisite Internationalization Module, which includes business tools for site creation, management, and access control across multiple brands and/or countries, provides sharing of resources and administration of multiple sites running in a single ATG instance. It has international capabilities including language, currency and payment support tools.

Other features include commerce platform with add-on optimisation services and improved merchandising and personalisation capabilities.

Bill Zujewski, vice president of product marketing at ATG, said: “The ATG Commerce Suite provides merchants with the software and services required for maximising cross-channel sales, profits, and customer loyalty by making it easier and more cost effective for merchants to manage their unique business needs across multiple channels, devices, sites, countries, and brands.

“Online businesses can use the ATG Commerce Platform to power their commerce sites and cross-channel applications, or enhance their existing commerce strategy using the platform-neutral ATG Optimization Services. ATG is truly putting power into the hands of the merchants.”
