Apriso, a provider of global manufacturing software solutions, has announced the availability of Apriso for Paperless Manufacturing.
Apriso for Paperless Manufcaturing is built on Apriso’s FlexNet, a platform for global manufacturing operations management. This solution allows manufacturers to better manage plant floor operations without the need for paper, for a more efficient work environment.
The solution aims to allow a better interaction between engineers and shop floor operations by updating design and manufacturing instruction without the need for excessive amounts of paper or paper-based sign off processes. Approvals can now be streamlined through digital representations.
Apriso for Paperless Manufacturing scales from a basic paperless offering, electronic work instructions and reports that enhance intra-plant communications, to a complete, enterprise solution covering paperless processes in production, warehouse, quality, maintenance and labour operations.
There are a number of benefits from going paperless with the Apriso solution, including potentially eliminating the task of trying to find missing or lost documents and the ability to seamlessly track time and labour activities, ensuring proper costing, auditing and compliance processes.
It could also allow users to avoid travelling onsite to change documents or work instructions and let them instantly know an order status, regardless of its physical location, without having to spend time trying to find it.
Using the new solution, manufacturers are now able to better manage Electronic Work Instructions, Engineering Change Orders, New Product Introductions and Manufacturing Intelligence to drive improved operational performance without paper, while achieving new levels of efficiency, visibility, compliance and traceability.
