Apple has yet again managed to retain its position as the coolest brand in the UK for third time in a row, according to the annual CoolBrands survey result.
The survey showed the domination of technology companies in the country with most of the tech titans showing up in the top 20 list.
Google grabbed the 6th spot, followed by YouTube in the 7th spot and Bang & Olufsen in 11th eleventh spot.
Instagram appeared on the list for the first time at number 14, while Twitter was pushed out of the top 20 spot, marking the end of its three-year stint as one of the coolest brands.
Netflix also made its debut in the top 20 but Britain based Sky Broadcasting was pushed out of the top 20.
Apart from technology, luxury brands also made it to the top 20 list, which account for about 25% of the top listed brands.
The list included collective opinion of 2,000 consumers and an Expert Council consisting of 37 members who included entrepreneur, actors, musicians, and models.
The voters were asked to vote on the basis of innovation, originality, style, authenticity, desirability and uniqueness.
CoolBrands spokesman Stephen Cheliotis said: "The idea that CoolBrands is about fads and short-term reputational success is ripped apart by the solid performance and dominance of regular top 20 brands such as Aston Martin, Chanel and Nike.
"If anything, this year’s rankings illustrate that a solid reputation is hard to undermine or, in the case of rivals, overcome.
"That said, it was refreshing to see unique and original brands such as Instagram and Netflix join the top 20.
