Apple has released an update to its Mountain Lion, the operating system for Macs, to fix several security vulnerabilities and other issues.

The update includes features and fixes that improve the stability, compatibility, and security of Mac.

OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.3 also comes with a fix for file a URL bug that could cause other application to crash.

The update will fix issues that may cause Logic Pro to become unresponsive when using certain plug-ins as well as for issue sthat may cause the audio to stutter on 2011 iMacs.

Apple said the fixes will allow users to redeem iTunes gift cards in the Mac App Store using built-in cameras. The upadate alsocomes with a boot camp support for installing Windows 8 and boot camp support for Macs with a 3TB hard drive.

OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.3 update also includes Safari 6.0.3 which contains fixes that improve performance, stability, and security, the company said.
