Apple has announced that it sold over 1.7 million iPhone 4 in three days, since the new iPhone hit the market on June 24.
The new iPhone 4 with FaceTime feature, allows video calling in a single tap, while its new Retina display provides high resolution display for clear images, text and video.
Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple, said: "This is the most successful product launch in Apple’s history. Even so, we apologise to those customers who were turned away because we did not have enough supply."
Apple’s iPhone 4 also features a HD 720p video recording, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, Apple’s A4 processor, a 3-axis gyro and up to 40% longer talk time.
iPhone 4 is available in US at a retail price of $199 and $299 for 16GB and 32GB models respectively. It is also available in the UK, Germany, France and Japan, and is expected to be available in 18 more countries in July.
