Hacker group Anonymous has accused CloudFlare of protecting pro-ISIS websites from cyberattacks.
Earlier this week, Anonymous declared war against Islamic State in response to the terror attacks in Paris that left 129 people dead.
Some members of Anonymous said terrorists operating on the darknet and in cyberspace are using CloudFlare to restrict it from suspending ISIS related propaganda.
The group claims that CloudFlare’s services are being used by ISIS-affiliated sites to help them prevent cyberattacks like distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks.
One of the Anonymous Twitter accounts tweeted, "Anonymous demands @CloudFlare to remove their protection for pro #ISIS websites. If you do not, we will do it for you."
CloudFlare has however denied Anonymous claims and said takes the allegations seriously.
CloudFlare cofounder and CEO Matthew Prince told The Register, "I did see a Twitter handle said that they were mad at us.
"I’d suggest this was armchair analysis by kids – it’s hard to take seriously. Anonymous uses us for some of its sites, despite pressure from some quarters for us to take Anonymous sites offline."
