VPN service Hotspot Shield maker AnchorFree has released its Hotspot Shield security application for Android devices.

Hotspot Shield for Android will enable users to browse the Web with any concern of privacy and security, access all internet content from anywhere and save money on their data plans. It will protect users from over 3.5 million malware, phishing and spam threats, the company said.

AnchorFree’s new security application is available as a free and Elite premium version for Android.

Both the versions offers Wi-Fi, 3G encryption protects both apps and browsing, seamless access to all Web content from anywhere, private browsing, identity theft protection and protection from third-party tracking.

Elite version offers a bandwidth compression more than double the amount of Web content users can consume on their Android devices and saves them money on their mobile data bills.

Hotspot Shield’s VPN technology encrypts a user’s entire Web session, turning all HTTP sites into HTTP(S), so that every website visited and every mobile app is as secure and private as a banking site.
