American Payment Systems has partnered with ControlScan to allow its merchants meet mandatory requirements set forth by the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC).

The partners said that American Payment Systems merchants will now have access to ControlScan’s PCI 1-2-3 compliance offerings, available online via a web-based merchant portal called myControlScan.com, which reportedly provides merchants with the tools and support required to analyse, remediate and validate PCI compliance.

The tools include: PCI 1-2-3 self assessment questionnaire, vulnerability scanning, security policy builder, security awareness training, and personal touch support.

Steven Cartwright, chief operating officer of American Payment Systems, said: “Not only is ControlScan’s programme easy for us to implement, but we can now provide our merchants with an easy-to-use solution, backed by a personal level of service, to help them achieve PCI compliance and protect their customers’ sensitive information.”

Jethro Felton, executive vice president of sales and business development at ControlScan; said: “By utilising ControlScan’s PCI 1-2-3 compliance solution as part of their overall offering, American Payment Systems will help their merchant community become secure, thereby ensuring that they meet all private and public regulatory requirements for protecting cardholder data.”

American Payment Systems is a provider of credit card processing services for traditional and internet businesses.

ControlScan provides Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance and security services for small- to medium-sized merchants.
