Internet retailer Amazon is planning to add about 100 more jobs to its digital media development centre in London’s ‘Silicon Roundabout’.

Incorporating development and design teams for Amazon’s Pushbutton and LOVEFiLM firms, the centre develops new digital media projects that include interactive services for TVs, game consoles and smartphones.

The firm, which started business with a 100-member team, is now planning to execute another employment drive.

Amazon Digital Media Development Centre managing director Paula Byrne said that there was a ‘wealth of tech talent here in London’ "We continue to look for the most creative minds in the UK to work on the next generation of TV and film services for Amazon customers all over the world," Byrne said.

Situated in the Old Street area of east London, the Silicon Roundabout site is at the centre of the government’s Tech City project.
