Amazon has launched Amazon Web Services (AWS) OpsWorks application for managing the complete lifecycle of complex applications.

Features include resource provisioning, configuration management, deployment, monitoring and access control.

AWS Developer Productivity & Tools vice president, Scott Wiltamuth, said that use of more applications by users has raised a demand for tools to manage AWS resources and automate the deployment of applications.

"Two years ago we launched AWS Elastic Beanstalk, enabling developers to quickly deploy and manage their applications in the AWS cloud.

"And now, with the launch of AWS OpsWorks, we’re providing customers with a new application management solution to automate the entire lifecycle – provisioning, deployment, configuration management, monitoring, and access control," Wiltamuth added.

The company claims that the tool provides flexible, automated, and operational control management of applications.
