Online retailer giant Amazon has announced that its Amazon Appstore for Android will be available in about 200 countries including India, Australia, Brazil and Mexico.
The company has updated the Appstore app for Android to version 5.0 which can be downloaded on any Android device by enabling installation of apps from unknown sources settings.
Amazon Apps and Games VP Mike George said, "By further expanding the distribution of apps to millions of customers around the world, we are continuing to make it easy for customers to enjoy their Amazon apps on Kindle Fire and any Android device."
The company is also offering promotions and discounts on games till 03 June 2013 from brands including Ubisoft, Sega and Rovio for free.
The expansion is part of the company’s global expansion plans, which include the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, China and Japan, while the company is also planning to expand in Brazil in the coming months.
Amazon also announced that its Kindle Fire will be available in over 170 new countries on 13 June.
