Aleri, a provider of complex event processing (CEP) technology, has partnered with Semphonic, a web analytics consulting firm, to deliver CEP software that allow organisations with online commerce and service to monitor customer behaviour and buying patterns in real-time.

The companies claim that the joint software will provide an advantage to create customer relationships with a targeted approach to marketing, sales, advertising and service programs.

The companies said that Aleri’s CEP engine provides Continuous Intelligence (CI) software designed to generate timely insight into critical customer events. By implementing CEP technology, online commerce providers can transform the effectiveness of web marketing, moving it from a silo-ed customer touch-point to an integrated full-touch-marketing system.

The Continuous Intelligence application, powered by Aleri’s CEP technology, provides technology for implementing a touch-point marketing strategy. On an Ecommerce site or electronic transaction network, customer intentions are hidden within large volumes of fast changing live data, such as clickstreams or purchase transactions, the companies added.

According to the companies, the benefits of implementing Continuous Intelligence software based on Aleri CEP technology include: improved revenue through interactive, personalised offers representative of the behaviour and needs of customers across all channels; and customer satisfaction and reduced customer churn through proactive problem identification and resolution.

John Morrell, VP of marketing at Aleri, said: “By Implementing Continuous Intelligence solutions, organisations can quickly implement a monitoring system that will help them understand and act upon customer needs buried in live data at a granular level.”
