Adobe introduces new carousel photography app for Mac OS, iOS devices

Overcomes the limitations of Manual syncing and device storage

By CBR Staff Writer

Adobe has introduced new carousel photography app for iPad, iPhone, iPod touch and Mac OS.

The new app, Adobe Carousel, uses photo-processing technology that is used in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, and is designed to view, browse, adjust and share them without worrying about manual syncing or storage.

Adobe Carousel incorporates cloud-based smart mesh technology which enables an automatic access to any supported device through which the photos are uploaded to it.

Once imported, any changes made to the library on one device are automatically updated across all devices linked with the account.

With Adobe Carousel, customers will download the apps, set up a subscription plan on their iPhone and iPad, can import JPEG files, and they can install these apps on as many of their compatible devices as they want.

Adobe Carousel allows subscribers to invite friends and family members to collaborate on a photo library free of charge, apply adjustments and looks to images, to grab and flag favourite photos, while allows users to send photos directly to Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr or via email.

Adobe vice president of Digital Imaging Products Winston Hendrickson said they are extending the power of Adobe’s imaging expertise beyond the desktop and onto tablets and smartphones.

The Adobe Carousel apps will be available through the iTunes App Store and for Mac later this month.

The other versions for Windows and other devices are expected in the first half of 2012.
