While it waits to see how its unsolicited bid for the Learning Co pans out, SoftKey International Inc has won agreement for the acquisition of Minnesota Educational Computing Corp, which also publishes educational software. The price to be paid is $370m in SoftKey shares, which with the Learning Co acquisition would take its spending on educational software to near $1,000m.
