According to the company, the SoftGrocer provides a point of control for item and inventory management. New features included in the latest release make the receiving, replenishment, and tracking of store inventory even more efficient and precise.
SoftGrocer is a modular item and inventory management system with tools to help store associates focus on exceptions, and configurable to meet the specific needs of any grocery retailer. New functionality includes expanded EDI support of ASN and PO receiving, as well as additional data capture for detailed vendor scorecard reporting, said SofTechnics.
The company has said that the brand new location-based inventory module is also available with this version of SoftGrocer, allowing associates to define and track inventory across multiple locations, including the back room. There are many other new features included in this release, all based on SofTechnics’s direct work with customers and focused on real-world solutions to improve item and inventory management.
Tim Drummond, vice president of development at SofTechnics, said: We worked with GS1 to improve the EDI standards for ASN receiving and built support for these new standards directly into our latest SoftGrocer release. This exemplifies the SofTechnics focus on meeting our customer’s current and future requirements, and expanding capabilities for the grocery industry.
