SNAP, CNET BRING LAST FREEMAIL TO MARKET

Snap, the web portal joint venture between NBC and CNet, has launched a free web email service at Email.com. Don’t be fooled; only the domain name is new. Snap has offered a free web-based email service to its to subscribers since May, when it became one of the first companies to sign up with OEM web mail provider iName (CI No 3,415). Apparently those accounts were not exactly walking off the shelves. That’s about to change, according to Snap and CNet CEO Halsey Minor, who says that Email.com is easy to remember. So Snap.com was hard?
