New York-based SmartCard International Inc and the Center for Advanced Technology in Telecommunications at Polytechnic University in Brooklyn, New York are to undertake advanced research in the field of smart card technology: the Center will concentrate on developing advanced techniques for capturing and processing data in smart card-based systems, and the first phase of this programme, which will last one year, it is expected that the research will result in products to be be further developed and marketed by SmartCard International.
